Rachel Derbyshire is a teacher and freelance musician based in and around York. She works part-time as a secondary school music teacher, alongside private music tuition and freelance work, including performing and workshop leading.
Rachel read a bachelor of arts in Music at the University of Durham, where she developed a range of musical interests from analytical studies of the Baroque period, to performance on both piano and recorders.
Rachel then pursued her passion for making music with and for people of all backgrounds and abilities at the University of York, where she gained an MA in Community Music.
After completing her teaching qualification, and settling in York, A Note In Time was born!
